FROM PRATOROTONDO TO ARGENTEA REFUGE
Discover a breathtaking hike that takes you from Rifugio Pratorotondo to Rifugio Argentea, with a path immersed in nature between the mountains and the Ligurian coast. This itinerary is ideal for those looking for an adventure full of spectacular landscapes and a journey through the geomorphological and botanical beauties of Liguria.
The trail, which winds between 1109 and 1090 meters above sea level, offers a unique experience in every season, with views that range from the mountain range to the sea. During the route, your eyes will be captured by the wide expanses of grassland, the rocky outcrops and the pine and beech forests that accompany the path.

To begin this excursion, you can easily park your car in the clearing in front of the Pratorotondo refuge, at 1098 meters above sea level. The trail, marked with the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri signpost, is located right in front of the refuge. You follow a dirt road, closed to traffic and marked with the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, crossing meadows to a panoramic point overlooking the coast.
We continue towards the Casa della Miniera at 1078 meters, a former shelter for workers, now renovated for hikers. From there, the route leads to Prato Ferretto, where the "field of stones" is located, and to the Passo di Prato Ferretto, dominated by the Bric Resonàu. Continuing along the Alta Via, we climb to the Bric Sciue Gianche, cross the Rocca Fontanassa plateau, and reach the Rifugio Argentea at 1090 meters, passing through the Passo di Pian di Lerca.
